Happy, scared or simply excited, it’s your face that gives you away and to keep your face blemish free and radiant here are 10 simple tips that will help you tackle all your skincare issues and make your skin fresh, healthy, happy, and glowing, even during the harsh summers.
#1 You are what you eat!
Healthy skin starts with your diet as digestive problems are the root cause of unhealthy skin. Your grandmother was right; the right amount of nutrients and vitamins can do wonders for your skin. For glowing and healthy skin the food you eat should be rich in protein so include lots of greens, fruits, grains, white meat, fish, food rich in antioxidants and lots of nuts.
#2 Keep it hydrated.
15% of our skin is made out of water! Drinking water and juice has its own health and beauty benefits as it helps flush out the toxins and waste. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water is highly recommended as it cleanses the body and helps your skin to purify the impurities. And drink an extra glass of water just because it’s too hot outside and your skin would love it.
#3 Enjoy the sun but with lots of sun protection.
The sun is a natural source of Vitamin D that is utterly important for our body and bones, but it is only the morning sun ’till 9 AM that is good for the skin. Avoiding the sun post 9 in the morning is essential as the strong UV rays will not only damage the texture of the skin or increase the skin aging process but overexposure to these rays can lead to skin cancer. Avoid going out in the sun from 10 AM to 2 PM as the sun rays between this time are really harsh.
When stepping out in the sun cover most of your skin, carry an umbrella, wear sunglasses and most importantly, slather on sunscreen with SPF 45 or above every two hours.
Almost everybody knows about the CTM routine of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, but what about exfoliation? No matter how clear your skin might be, if you don’t exfoliate often it will look dull and lifeless. Also, the small pores feel so huge when they are filled with dirt, oil, and impurities making enlarged pores a common beauty complaint.
